Events

Providing our community with frequent educational events and programs is an important part of fulfilling our mission. By hosting various guest speakers, presentations, open houses and other events, we foster an appreciation for local history and create a sense of community pride and togetherness.

Our largest event of the year is Henderson Heritage Day, hosted every summer in the park that surrounds our 1820s Log Cabin. This event features a craft show, which brings together local artists, artisans, authors, and other vendors; live music; historical reenactments; and tours of the museum, log cabin and Peters-Stevens Boat Annex.
