Henderson Central School educated local children from 1900 to 1984, when it closed to merge with the former Union Academy of Belleville and form the current Belleville Henderson Central School District. The former Henderson Central School now houses senior apartments. To commemorate the former Henderson Central School and help archive its role in the history of our town, the Henderson Historical Society holds a collection of yearbooks, class photos, articles and memorabilia from the school. Many of these items were donated by the school, former students and the community.
